Professor Alicia Spittle Appointed Acting Associate Dean of Research for the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne.

Chief Investigator and co-chair of the Policy & Practice Translation subcommittee for the CRE in Newborn Medicine, Professor Alicia Spittle, has been appointed to the interim position of Associate Dean Research for the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne. Alicia is a physiotherapy clinician researcher with research interests focussed on improving the neurodevelopmental outcomes for premature and at-risk infants. She leads the motor team within the Victorian Infant Brain Studies (VIBES) group at MCRI and maintains a role at the Royal Women’s Hospital as a part-time role as a Senior Clinician. Alicia mentors many of our early career researchers through her extensive graduate research student supervision and is passionate about embedding the consumer voice into all aspect of our research agenda.
