Dr Jennifer Dawson

Dr Jennifer Dawson joined the Royal Women’s Hospital as a Neonatal Research Nurse in November 2005 and is now Deputy Director of Newborn Research. She trained as a nurse and completed a PhD at the University of Melbourne in 2010. Her research interests include delivery room clinical trials, managing oxygen therapy in the delivery, mentoring student researchers. Her research has led to over 100 publications with many incorporated in the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines for delivery room management of newly born infants. She is currently clinical trial coordinator for the multi-centre PLUSS trial, Preventing Lung Disease Using Surfactant + Steroid.

Jennifer sits on the Research and the Mentoring Subcommittees of the CRE in Newborn Medicine.
